Privacy Policy

Rockafairy ("Rockafairy," "we," "us") is an Oregon 501(c)(3) nonprofit community creative center at 1600 N. Riverside Ave., Rogue Valley Mall, Medford, Oregon 97501. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, member accounts, and text messaging, and how we use it. It also covers our subsidiary RF Productions LLC, which operates venue and production services under the name "The Rogue Room."
Information we collect
- Account and membership information: name, email address, mobile phone number, and password (stored in hashed form).
- Activity information: check-ins, points, instrument lending records, room and event bookings, and event attendance.
- Communication preferences and consent records: which notifications you chose, and the date, source, and wording of your consent to receive text messages.
- Messages you send us: emails, and text replies such as STOP or HELP.
- Technical information: basic device and log data (such as IP address and browser type) collected when you use our website.
Donations and ticket purchases are processed by third-party services (for example, Betterworld). We do not receive or store your payment card number.
How we use your information
- To run your membership, accounts, bookings, and instrument lending.
- To verify your identity, including one-time verification codes and password resets.
- To send account notices, reminders, and event updates.
- If you separately opt in, to send promotional messages about upcoming shows and events.
- To keep our services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Text messaging (SMS)
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
We send text messages only to people who have provided their number and agreed to receive them. Account and event messages and promotional messages are separate choices, and agreeing to promotional messages is never a condition of membership or any purchase. You can opt out of all texts at any time by replying STOP. See our Terms & Conditions for message frequency, rates, and other program details.
We may share mobile numbers with service providers (such as our text messaging provider) strictly to deliver the messages you requested and support our operations. Those providers may not use your information for their own marketing.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (hosting, messaging, payments and ticketing, email), when required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our members, staff, and the public. If Rockafairy were to merge with or transfer its programs to another nonprofit, your information may transfer with them, subject to this policy.
Cookies and third-party content
Our website uses embedded third-party content, including Google Fonts, Google Maps, and the Betterworld donations and events widgets. These providers may collect technical information under their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising trackers.
Retention and security
We keep personal information while your membership or account is active and as needed afterward for legal, tax, and record-keeping purposes. Consent records are kept as long as needed to show that you agreed to receive messages. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out of text messages; reply HELP for help.
- Update your notification preferences in your account, or contact us to do it for you.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us. We will honor requests as required by applicable law.
Children
Our programs are open to all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information or enroll text message subscribers under 13 without a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has given us information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version.
